Howl offers unique learning experiences across Canada for youth who don’t know what comes next in life. Since launching our first program in March 2022, we’ve had over 300 Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth participate in our programs.

Our programs are designed to inspire career pathways and build confident, community-based lives. We offer a variety of programs for youth ages 14-30, from 3 days to a full semester in the Rockies. Howl Experiences will provide new experiences in new places with new people. Are you ready?

Rockies Exploration
June 14-22, 2024
A 9-day Exploration in the Rockies focussed around National Indigenous Peoples Day. Participants will contribute to community through various local initiatives throughout the Canadian Rockies. Collaborate with community leaders of all types, from scientists to entrepreneurs to Traditional Knowledge Keepers.

Maritimes Exploration
June 10-15, 2024
Explore how water has shaped the identities and livelihoods of East Coasters for generations. With an approach rooted in the Mi’kmaw concept of Etuaptmumk, or two-eyed seeing, you’ll gain knowledge of the Wabanaki forest and Atlantic coastal ecosystems while building skills in Treaty rights, climate resilience and sustainable living.

Yukon Exploration
July 25-August 2, 2024
Our Howl Educators will guide you through this Yukon experience with a few outcomes in mind: to encourage an interest in Arctic science, Indigenous knowledge/education, to reconnect with the natural world and to create opportunities to allow you to hear your own voice (howl) and through this, understand your place in the world.
